Ms access rowsource not updating

So how do I set the rate field in the Main table automatically to update when the employee is selected?

You have 2 options, depending on wether you want to store again that rate in the "Main Table" (what a bad name! 1) if you just want to display the rate, include that field in the Row Source of the Employee combo (eventually with a Width of 0 to hide it).

(UPDATED Saturday 21OCT2014 to VERSION 1.10.)The default message box in Access is sometimes useful to warn, inform or ask confirmation from the user. " '----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ' Use the Button Delay to specify the time in seconds before the buttons become activated ' The default is 2s. Default Button Delay = 3 '----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ' Use Allow Beep to specify whether beeps should be played when the message box opens ' By default, they are. Box Prompt:="All your bases are belong to us", _ Buttons:=(vb Ok Only vb Critical), _ Title:="Bad error", _ Allow Beep:=False '----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ' Change the default behaviour. ' By default, they are visible, but here we hide them. Box Prompt:="All your bases are belong to us", _ Buttons:=(vb Ok Only vb Critical), _ Title:="Bad error", _ Allow Copy To Clipboard:=False, _ Allow Save To File:=False '----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ' Change the default behaviour. ' Here we want them to be saved to a temp directory Dialog.

Sometimes you need to display an important message or require users to make take a decision. Default Saved Text File Folder = "C\:temp" '----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ' By default, all messages are unescaped.

I think you'll find that the MS position is 'partially supports' rather than 'supports'.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community. When i create a MS Access database link to the SQL table it shows as text.Any ideas how this can be fixed without changing the SQL data type to datetime? Then, bind the Rate control on you form to an expression like is the 3rd column).2) if you want to save the historical value of the Rate in the Main table, then include that field in the Employee combo Row Source as before, and add the following code to the Employee. Column(2) is a valid reference from within VBA, but I couldn't get it to resolve in the expression builder, as it only accepted attribute values.
